Spring Break “Tea” Staycation

Spring Break 2025, we decided to keep it simple. There were no major travel plans for us except a one day visit to my parents’ place on the other side of town. The rest of the week we shopped, hung out at home, and checked out some of our favorite favorite restaurants and tea shops. It turned into a tea themed staycation.

Capital Tea is a great tea shop on Broadway in Denver. It’s tucked in between a bunch of antique shops. When we’re in the area, we like to stop by the used book store just a few doors down. There’s also a great pet store where we like to pick up treats for our furbaby.

This time, we made reservations for a tea time which includes your choice of teas, scones, and this tower of savory pastries, tea sandwiches, and desserts! We’ve been bringing my daughter here for a few years, and she still loves it (even as a picky teenager!) My husband is a big fan of tea too. He picked up a few ounces of loose tea to take home.

Another place we like to buy our loose tea is inTea in Downtown Littleton. We were already stocked up on tea from Capital Tea, but we made another tea stop here for some teas and pastries.

It was a bit busy at inTea, but we found a little table in the back to sip our tea. When it’s not so busy, my husband will chat with the tea experts, and he usually leaves with a few bags of tea to try at home.

I have to mention one more tea spot. My daughter is a big fan of Boba tea, and one of our favorite places for Boba is Omni Tea in Castle Rock. This one is off the beaten path. If you haven’t been here before, you might need Google Maps to find it!

Our summer calendar is starting to fill up with more fun! We still don’t have plans to travel too far away. I think our dog appreciates it when we don’t leave her behind…although she doesn’t mind staying at the grandparents’ house every once in awhile.
